I mean, “from the perspective of a 30-something mom of 3 boys” didn’t endear me to her or her so-called “opinions” either (why is that so goddamn important? i don’t see how it’s hugely relevant to any of the opinions she expresses afterward, except maybe the one about the dwarves, but that reads more as a complaint about her childhood memories being defiled than anything that has to do with her sons. and honestly, why is that every parent feels the need to declare the fitness of movies for every other parent? as if their relationship to their own children gives them special judging powers for and over everyone else on earth? and that aside- what about the trailers screamed “family fun” louder than “rare dose of charming, non-cynical, semi-adult fun?”), but still.
